Skincare Review ~ Tonymoly Tomatox Magic White Massage Pack

For those of you like me who has had to deal with dark spots, pigmentation, acne or dull skin, this product is for you!

A couple of years ago, I tried out proactiv and it made my skin a whole lot worse which resulted in my skin having hyperpigmentation. It was also in this time that I was just introduced to Korean skincare and all their products, leading me to purchase this mask. As I have been using this mask for a good 2 years or so, I don't have the original packaging. (

I love Tonymoly's packaging for this product and when you're done with its contents, you can keep the tub as a little decorative piece.

The mask comes with a little spatula, which makes it easier to scoop out the contents as well as prevent bacteria from your hands contaminating the product. There is also a protective cover shielding its contents from spilling everywhere. We wouldn't want that!

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Tomatox Brightening Mask contains fresh tomato and vegetable extracts. With the bright red granules of oxygen bubble, it purifies the skin and then provides a large amount of oxygen deep into the skin, instantly leaving the skin fair, smooth and delicate with an even tone.

Tomato is rich in vitamins and minerals. It can get rid of the toxins of skin. The product is especially suitable for sensitive skin. Vitamin A and lycopene, the anti-oxidizing ingredients of tomato, are widely used in the pharmaceutical sector to help control puffiness and relieve chafing.

Therefore, this product is suitable for sunburned skin, skin with accumulated melanin, as well as dull skin due to poor blood circulation or bad living habits.

HOW TO USE: Apply sufficient amount, avoiding the eyes and lips, massage for 1~2 min, and wait for 5~10 min. After that, wash off with lukewarm water.

**What I tend to do instead however is to leave on this mask for at least 20-30 minutes as I noticed that there is more of a brighter complexion in contrast to what its original directions have mentioned. **

SCENT: There is a slight medicinal scent but it is in no way overly pungent.

PACKAGING: In its original packaging, it comes in a clear plastic red box. I find the packaging to be practical and hold enough of its contents. I like how they have included a spatula as well, which always proves to be handy, especially when dealing with cream masks.

OVERALL: Browsing on other's reactions to this mask, some have experienced a stinging sensation on their skin when first applied. Initially when I first tried this, I too also experienced the same sensation but with continued use, this feeling died down and I can now apply it just like any other mask. The Tomatox mask also has a slightly thick consistency so I would recommend a thin layer across the face (about a third of the spatula is plenty). Although it has a temporary brightening effect for a few hours, with continued usage (I use mine 1-2 times a week), there is a noticeable difference with regards to hyperpigmentation and a more even complexion. One tub should last you for at least 6-7 months with regular use.

RATING: 9/10. Has become my go-to brightening mask.
